MOPA fiber laser marking on stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and engineering plastics — including materials other shops can't mark.
Same-business-day quote response. First article inspection included.
Materials
Laser annealing on stainless produces a black iron oxide mark with no material removal. Passivation layer preserved. Sterilization resistant. The correct process when annealing is called out on the print.
Annealing on titanium produces color-shifted oxide marks — permanent, biocompatible, and flush with the surface. Commonly used on orthopedic implants, spinal hardware, and surgical instruments.
MOPA technology marks anodized aluminum without burning through or discoloring the anodize layer. The mark reads clearly and the surface integrity stays intact.
White Delrin is notoriously difficult — most shops turn it away. Our MOPA laser with specialized surface treatment produces a permanent, high-contrast mark where others have failed. If you've been told your plastic part can't be marked, ask us.
When the assembly has multiple materials or a specific marking zone, we work from your drawing to determine the right process for each surface. Send us the part and we'll confirm feasibility before quoting.
Results
A manufacturer came to us with a white Delrin part that three other vendors had declared "unmarkable." Our MOPA laser with specialized surface treatment produced a permanent, high-contrast mark. The part shipped. That's the job.
