What We Can Do

One MOPA fiber laser. A range of processes most shops can't offer. If you've been told a job can't be done, ask us first.

Laser Annealing

High-contrast black oxide mark on stainless steel and titanium. No material removal — passivation layer preserved. Required for medical device UDI compliance and sterilization-resistant marking.

Color Marking

MOPA pulse control enables color variation on stainless steel — black, gray, gold, and blue tones depending on pulse parameters. Used for branding, product differentiation, and high-visibility part identification.

Laser Ablation

Selective removal of coatings, anodize, or paint to reveal the substrate below. Creates high-contrast marks on anodized aluminum and coated parts without damaging the base material.

Barcodes & Data Matrix

1D barcodes, 2D Data Matrix, QR codes, and human-readable text. Permanent, direct part marks for traceability, serialization, and UDI compliance. Verified for readability before shipment.

Laser Bonding

Specialty process for materials other vendors can't mark. Using MOPA technology and surface treatment, we produce permanent marks on white Delrin (POM-H), light-colored polymers, and other difficult plastics.

High-Volume Automated Runs

Laser Flow Labs is a dedicated fiber laser marking service bureau in the Twin Cities. We're not a machine shop with a laser as an afterthought — marking is the only thing on the floor.

Tyler Pope co-founded and operated 3D Printing Ally before selling it to EnTech Plastics. He started on the shop floor as a machinist. He's read thousands of prints. He understands what's called out on yours.

James Moorman brings medical device industry experience and business development background. Together, they built Laser Flow Labs to solve the marking problem that machine shops and medical OEMs run into every week — a reliable, specialized vendor who handles it and ships it back.
